Education for special children:
SPF supports nearly 100 special children for their rehabilitations and
special educations at 3 rehabilitation centers; 2 hospitals; and 4
special schools in northern Thailand.
Means of transportation for
the special adults:
They need wheelchair and some in special size. The members that capable
of working need special motorcycle adapted for their disabilities.
Self-Help Community Rehabilitation
Room:
The one of the kind rehabilitation for self and peer support at the
center in Chiang Dao was made available by donation from our friends
from Australia.Exterior of the room is artfully painted by the members
and supplied with simple equipments. The special adults gain physical
improvement by performing exercise with help from their friends while
at the SPF Special People Center of Chiang Dao.
Thai massage services and
training for the special people:
SPF with cooperation and support from Thai Massage School of Chiang Mai
(TMC) offer the means for the special children and adults to receive
Thai massage to improve their health. TMC arranged for training to the
mothers to give massage to their special children. TMC provides
training of professional Thai massage to the special adults that are
physically capable to perform though with some physical limitation and
to the family members. The training is at both centers.
SPF supported TMC to offer Thai massage training
for mothers and staff of severe disability special children at Lumpoon
Special Children Center.
