Government, NGO – all pitch in trying to help what they
can… But the disabled people need more than what the help can
give.
There are more than 1.9 million people with disabilities in Thailand.

They show us their brevity and strength to go on
with hope and dream that they would be able to fend for themselves
and to become self-reliance.
They are the example of compassion and giving. It
is our opportunity to relieve their burden and share their joy. They
teach us to appreciate we are blessed with normal body and mind. They
are the other side of us that we want to be a part of.
What they want is a little “push”, an extra hand to lift
them up from the ground and they can walk on to their dreams. Like
this grand mother guarding her grand child who was ill from fever and
seizure.
She takes the girl to receive therapy at a local hospital routinely.
They are happy and fun to be near. They try to
walk, to talk, to see, to hear, to use whatever left of their bodies,
and to think, when thinking is so hard for some!
